E-Code is designed to need as little of your data as possible. Here's exactly what happens to what you type in, by feature:
| Offline demo | Runs entirely in your browser against canned examples. Nothing leaves your device. |
| Manual Claude-chat bridge | The prompt is copied to your clipboard and pasted into your own Claude chat, on your own account. We never see it, store it, or send it anywhere — there is no server involved in this feature at all. |
| Automatic program generation | Your request (and up to 6 prior turns of conversation, so follow-ups work) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the program. Anthropic processes it to generate a response; under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms, data sent through the API isn't used to train their models. We don't attach your name, email, or any other account information to that request. |
| Real pixel-LCD check | Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves your device. |
| Send to calculator | A direct USB connection from your browser to your calculator via WebUSB. Nothing passes through a server. |
| Session & conversation history | Saved to your browser's local storage only, on your device. We don't receive or store a copy of it. |
| Waitlist signup | Your email is recorded so we can reach you when billing goes live. It is not sold or shared. |
Automatic program generation (once billing is live) is powered by Anthropic's Claude, a large language model — not a human, and not a lookup table of pre-written programs. There is no real account system or analytics tracking wired up in this version. If that changes — once billing is real — this notice will be updated to say exactly what changed and why, the same way the rest of this site tries to be plain about what's actually built versus what isn't yet.
